Until the 19th century, both Baarles and the surrounding villages belonged to the same parish that belonged to this St. Remigius church. This church in the Kempen Gothic style has a tower over 46 meters high which is equipped with a characteristic onion-shaped sphere and decorated with sand-lime bricks. The 19 stylish stained glass windows of the church were made between 1959 and 1970 by the Antwerp draughtsman and glazier Jos Hendrickx (1906 - 1971). Since 16 September 1942 the St. Remigius church has been a protected monument.

The exterior doors of the church are open every day from 10.00-17.00 hrs. The interior can be viewed through glass doors.
